Its operations are strategically divided into three main segments: Banking, Insurance, and Wealth Management. The corporation provides a diverse selection of deposit products, such as checking, savings, and time accounts, alongside IRA options, and specialized brokered, reciprocal, and municipal money market deposits. It also extends a wide range of lending solutions. For businesses, these include financing for real estate, construction, and equipment, accounts receivable funding, and commercial leasing. For individuals and businesses alike, it offers residential mortgages, personal loans, home equity loans, commercial and industrial loans, commercial real estate loans, and agricultural loans. Consumer-specific financing encompasses personal installment loans, direct and indirect automobile loans, and overdraft lines of credit. Additional services provided include letters of credit and sweep accounts, credit and debit cards, and modern banking conveniences such as deposit and cash management, internet and mobile banking platforms, remote deposit capture, safe deposit boxes, voice response systems, and ATM access. Beyond banking, Tompkins Financial delivers investment management, trust and estate administration, and financial and tax planning services. Its insurance offerings span property and casualty, medical, life, disability, and long-term care policies, further enhanced by employee benefit consulting and general insurance planning. The company primarily serves a varied clientele, including individual consumers, corporate executives, small business owners, and high-net-worth individuals. Tompkins Financial operates through a network of 63 banking branches, with 43 situated in New York and 20 in Pennsylvania. Founded in 1836, the corporation is headquartered in Ithaca, New York.
