The company was founded in 2010, initially operating as Cubiq Microchip, Inc., before officially changing its name to Ambiq Micro, Inc. in October 2012. While its corporate headquarters are located in Austin, Texas, it maintains an international presence with additional offices in Shanghai and Shenzhen, China; Hsinchu, Taiwan; and Singapore.
